How does Auctioneer work with Realms, Factions, and Characters?

Auctioneer creates a database for each Realm and Faction combination, but the databases do not "consider" individual characters.

Multiple characters on the same Realm and Faction share a single database. Realms can be any type, PVE, PVP, or RP, and Factions can be Alliance, Horde, or Neutral. This means that it is possible to have 3 separate databases for each Realm on which you play.

For example, if you have two characters on Emerald Dream that are both Alliance, they will share the same database. Either one can perform scans and retrieve the information via the tooltip or SearchUI. If you had a Horde character on the same server, he would have his own database and that data would be distinct from the Alliance database.

The "Arbitrage Searcher" within SearchUI allows you to perform searches on your most recent scan data. This Searcher will allow you to compare prices across a given realm's three factions, Alliance, Horde, and Neutral, and even across servers, if desired.
